Dr. Alina Amaral was born and raised in Sonoma, California where she was involved in the agricultural community, participating in 4-H and FFA. Upon graduating from high school, she attended California Polytechnic State University, San Luis Obispo where she received her bachelor’s degree in animal science with a pre-veterinary concentration. Dr. Amaral graduated from Western University of Health Sciences College of Veterinary Medicine in May 2017. Dr. Amaral continues to support the agricultural community and spends her free time assisting the younger 4-H and FFA members with their animal projects. She continues to raise her registered Angus beef cattle and resides in Sonoma with her Australian Shepherds, Cinch, Remi, and Paisley. Dr. Amaral is excited to join the team at Arroyo Veterinary Hospital to start her career in veterinary medicine.
